Music of the Heart

In the Elven Traditions of Elowena, there is a note that is not a note written into music. This note is “Coumledia” translated to “Music of the Heart”, the most rough version of this translation would be “Heartbeat”. To simple say the word means “heartbeat” in the literal form would be considered an insult. The music of the heart is meant to represent how your heartbeats to love your soul mate. So Coumledia is not just a note but an expression of love.

When this note is scrolled on a page of music it does not actually mean a set of notes. It is the time when the artist turns inward and listens, playing the exact same beats in time with their heart. Someone good at composing can slip this note into the music without you thinking that it is their heart beating, for it is supposed to be a subtle tribute to the person they love.

The songs composed using this note are extremely personal and often not shared. A gift of the heart to the one you cherish. Most times the only copy of the composed piece being given to the person as a way of saying, “My heart will only sing for you”.

For his birthday, Mystic composed a piece of music on her violin for Rylen. This note does show up and she often tells Rylen he is her heartbeat.

Artist Notes : I did use the treble clef as a basic design for this but besides that, everything is 100% mine, including the description. Only thing not mine would be Rylen Strongheart, he belongs to Mystic (Or ShadowKnife7 as he’s her char…but you know)
